What is votemeoff.com all about?
Votemeoff.com is a community where people can meet, become friends, maybe even meet in real life, date...who knows? It is also a rating site with a twist. We were tired of the same old rating sites with the same old people sitting in the highest rank spots .We decided to declare a weekly winner and reset the ratings. We also allow users to use arsenal items to give extra points to those people they really like or deduct points from people they really dont like.
What is "The Game" all about?
"The Game" as it is referred too is the rating system on VMO. The goal is to have the most points at the end of a game. Games end Sunday Nights. Points are accrued when people give you standard +1 votes or use positive arsenal items on you. Points are lost when users give you standard -1 votes or use negative arsenal items on you. Feel free to use arsenal items on yourself to give you an edge. Winning typically requires aligning yourself with other users in a team. Team members benefit from one of their members winning and they will support your bid for the top spot!

What does it mean to be "Voted Off"?
A user is voted off when their points get to negative 50. Once a user is voted off they are disqualified for the rest of that week's game. A user who is voted off may still give people standard +5 and -1 votes, but may no longer use arsenal items. A user that has been voted off can still transfer arsenal items to other users.
Some people have points below -50 but they are not voted off. Why?
A user cannot be voted off until they have reached 25 positive points. Once a user has hit a total of +25 points, they are vunerable to being voted off. If a user who has not reached +25 points votes someone else off, they immediately become vunerable whether they reach +25 points or not.

What is a salute?
A salute is a picture that contains you and a handwritten sign that has your username @ votemeoff.com on it somewhere. It is acceptable to use @ VMO too. What do the different colored R's mean that some users have on their profiles and forum posts?
One feature of our online community here at VMO that we're very proud of is our Forums (http://www.votemeoff.com/forum.php). The Forums allow our users to come together and discuss a variety of topics with each other. When you submit a reply to a topic in one of the Forums, it’s called a “post.” We’ve added the “R” feature as a way to send hidden messages within these posts. Only other users with an “R” can read these hidden messages. It makes for some very fun sneaky conversations!
Why are there different colors for the R’s?
The “R” feature works much like any ranking system. Green is the first level, then red, while currently the top level is blue. It works in the following manner:
Green can see green.
Red can see red and green.
Blue can see blue, red, and green.
As more colors are added to the feature, the top level will always be able to see the colors below it.
How do I get an R?
There are two ways to start with a green R. The easiest way is to upgrade to a premium membership at http://www.votemeoff.com/my.upgrades.php. Along with the custom features only available to Premium Members, you’ll receive your green R.
Your other option is having current R members “prop” you. This means they go to your profile and essentially vote for you to receive an R. You need 10 props to receive your R. Every member with an R is allowed one prop per day. As a twist, we’ve made it to where people can take away one of your props as well, so keep that in mind!
This same prop system is what moves you to the next level of R. 10 props from users at a higher level will move you to your next color up. Good luck and have fun!
